Year 4 Blog

You did it! So many of you were excellent at your 6 times table. You could do it back to front, upside down and inside out without hesitating. This week we are all going to learn our 4 times table in the same way and you will be expected to know the related division facts too. YOU CAN DO IT!
Also remember that you must make 3 entries in your reading diary each week and this week there will be additional stars for writing that is fluently joined and correctly punctuated. GO FOR IT!

As we have been talking about 'Going for Goals' and not giving in, this week we are going to see if everyone can learn their given times table.
Cut up the cards and practise them in different orders.See if you can give the answer to each one without hesitating or having thinking time. You can do it!
Also I have given you a copy of the fraction and decimal game. Please teach an adult how to play it and make sure that you beat them! Have fun!

Happy New Year everyone! It's lovely to be back. I did miss you and it was great reading all your emails whilst I was in The Gambia.
Your homework this week will support your design technology work on lamps. Please complete the worksheet and bring it to school on Wednesday 14th January as you will need to refer to it in our lesson that day. Have fun selecting some really interesting lamps.
