Y4 Homework for the end of February.

This week you have a few tasks to complete.

The Leeds in Bloom competition is part of your homework and should be brought into school on Monday 2 March 2009.

Spellings and reading as usual.

Maths
1. I have set you a decimal activity on mathletics. When you have completed this you should spend additional time on Mathletics and aim to be 'Mathlete of the Week'.

2. Then please learn another times table and the related division facts. If you havn't got your certificate yet for your 2x, 4x and 6x table you should revise one of those. If you have then you should be learning the 3 times table. See Mrs Ransome if you need any sheets to help you practise.

Work hard at your tables! Remember that you need to know them all confidently before you move to Year 5.

Half Term Mathlete

Well Done Abigail Stephenson! You were the half term mathlete with a score of nearly 5,500. Put 2 stars on your chart!

Half Term Activities

Just want to wish you all a very happy half term break.
Although there is no official homework from me I woukld like you all to spend considerable time on Mathletics. Other year groups are putting us to shame and getting scores each week in the thousands. We can do it too and it will really improve everyone's skills in maths.
I will send you updates every few days to let you know who Year 4 top scorers are so keep an eye on this blog.
Also if you havn't got your certificate yet for your 4 or 6 times table then keep practising!
Have fun!
