Homework for Friday 30th November 2007
Hello Year 4. To support our science work on temperatures , I would like you to have a go at the science activity, revision bite and quiz called 'keeping warm' on this website. Please post a comment on the blog to say how you got on.

Hi Mrs Ransome,
I learnt that polystyrene is a better thermal insulator than cardboard and metal foil. Metal foil is a better thermal conductor. I did the quiz and got 10/10 on my second attempt.

Hi Miss Ransome i learnt that polystyrene is better than carbourd and tin foil.then on the quiz i allso learnt that when you sqeeze a sponge under water all the the air is trapt inside makes all the bubbles.
Hi Miss Ransome
First i played on the quiz and i got 10 out of 10 it was really fun.
Then i played on the normal game and i tryed on it's own then i tryed with polystene and polystene was the best.

Hi Mrs Ransome thr game was interesting but i did not learn anything from it but here is a very interesting fact you can measure temperature in two different ways in celsius and farenhight from Jordan.
hi Mrs Ransome
I liked this website because it was very interesting especially
the revision bite.I got 7 out of 10
in the quiz.

Hi miss Ransome,

I have learnt that some materials are better thermal conductors than others, like metal that's why metal is used to make saucepans.
A thermal insulator doesn't let heat move through it, examples are plastic and some fabrics. An insulator is good at keeping heat in and out like a woolly scarf.
I also learnt that temperature is measured in degrees celsius.

Hi i have done my homework and the activity was very interesting and i learned polystyrene is a good thermal insulator. The first time i did the quiz i got 8/10 the second time i got 10/10!I observed the revision bite it had a lot of useful things in it.

Hi Mrs Ransome
I liked this homework it was good.
In the quiz i got 9/10. The game
was like when we did the ice cube
test.The revision bite was
interesting.

hi miss
Cardbord is not a good thermal insulator.
Matal foil is a thermal conductor not an insulator.
Polystyrene is the best thermal insulator.
In the quiz i got 10/10.
bye miss.

Hi Mrs Ransome
The first time I played on the quiz I got 7/10 the second time I
got 10/10.I learnt that metal foil
is not a good material because
the metal foil didn't always hold
the heat in.
