YEAR 4 EXPLORERS HOMEWORK
Hello Everyone,
This is the first time I have posted anything on our blog this year and I look forward to hearing from you. Miss Blaymire told me that you were fantastic bloggers in Year 3 so I am sure we will have plenty to talk about.
This is a reminder about your Explorers Homework which you need to do for Tuesday 14th October. We have talked about it in class and I know you have some really good ideas already. Remember that you need to choose an explorer and find out as much information as you can about them. You can present your work as a poster, a booklet a storyboard or in an even better way if you can think of one. Also, don't forget that you will be able to dress up as your explorer for our fantastic history day. There will be some brilliant activities to take part in.
Once you have decided who your explorer will be please post me a message on the blog. If you have any questions about the homework you can ask those as well.
When you know how you would like to record your information let me know and we can find the type of paper and anything else you might need.

I am doing a big board with imformation on.
I was at home siting at my desk looking at my globe when I thought I also could do a paper mache globe showing where he sailed and what he discovered.

I will do a Captain Cook storyboard. I have looked up some information on the internet and started collecting items to put on my board and craft things. I went to Whitby in summer and my Mum told me about Captain Cook living there. My Dad is from New Zealand and Captain Cook mapped it and named some of the bays like Bay of Plenty and Poverty Bay.

I sent a comment to you saying that I am going to be Capt Cook and this is because I went to Whitby in summer and my Dad is from New Zealand where Capt Cook mapped. Dear Miss Blake,
I am going to be Howard Carter on the explorers day.
I don't have his real costume but I have a good suit for him, so I will try my best.
I am thinking of doing a scrap book, me and my mum are going to look on the internet and find as much infomation about the amazing Howard Carter. Hopefully I will also have some pictures to put in aswell.
I hope you enjoy looking at it as much as I will have making it.
