WATCH OUT! VIKINGS ABOUT!
Hello Year 4,
Fingers crossed I think I can blog again! Have some fun and find out about the Vikings by visiting this website. If you click on the blue words on the web pages, you will be able to use the GLOSSARY to find their meanings. Post me a comment and tell me at least one new piece of information you found from the site.
Next Tuesday, when we are in the ICT suite, we will be working on the following website http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/ancient/ vikings/. It is brilliant! You can go on your own Viking Quest and collect treasure to take back to your chief. We are going to have a competition to see who can collect most points. Try to have a go before next week.

Literacy Homework for Friday 26th January
Please spend some time this week looking at adverts on the television, in magazines and in newspapers. Make a note of any catchy slogans that grab your attention. Sometimes alliteration is used and many of the words begin with the same letter. Often they rhyme or they have a catchy rhythm. Be ready to give examples next Friday of some of the great slogans that you discover during the week. Have Fun!

Science Homework for THURSDAY 18th January 2007
On Thursday next week you will each be given an ice cube. We will have a competition to see whose ice cube is the last to melt. You will need to bring some materials to school which will protect your ice cube and prevent it from melting too quickly. Perhaps you could talk to adults or use the internet and get some really good ideas about protecting your ice cube. Have Fun and make sure that you have everything you need in school for THURSDAY 18th January 2007.

Homework for 12th January 2007
Now that you have selected your targets you will need to work hard to achieve them.
Make sure that you tell your parents what your targets are as they will want to support you. Perhaps you could display your targets at home so that you are constantly reminded of them. Please post a comment on the blog before Friday 12th January to share with others how you are getting on and the things that you have done. Have fun, enjoy working on them and think about them every day. Remember that it is important to keep your word to yourself.
